I have been experiencing a few probs with my Stilo 150, it only happens when the engine is getting warm, it starts fine and runs fine when hot. But between 2-4 mins after start up, I can put the accelerator to the floor and it will not rev at all, just stays at tick over. This is very embarrassing at junctions, and the only way to get it going properly is to turn the engine off and re start, maybe that will work 1st time, maybe not. Fuel is fine, new filter and has Millers it in. Any pointers to save the reputation of me Stilo would be welcome.

I cleaned the egr about 3,000 miles ago. I thinking the only thing left is a sensor of some description. Lovely - another big bill! Still the old girl hasn't cost me too much over the last 3 years.

Not a big bill if you just blank off the EGR.

A blanking plate is easy to make or else buy one from eBay. While doing that clean the MAP sensor just to the left of the EGR as you look at it.

Simples (sucking noise!) :)

:yeahthat:

Your EGR valve could still be at fault even if you have cleaned it. The solenoid could be the problem.

I had a juddering issue on mine. I cleaned EGR but the problem still persisted. Blanked it off, problem gone!

So as Peat said, blank off EGR.
