dashtec fixed my dads, and there fine, mine have died so gonna pull mine out to send off, as to getting out, take the steering cowling off, bottom part 3 screws top part 2 hidden near steering wheel base, undo the 2 screws bottom of the cluster, pull the plastic slider out form the top of the dial and then undo the other 2 screws, and slide it out, package up, send off 2 days later refit and everything works

Ok thanks gpz750 you have been a big help so far is the bottom bit of trim hard to remove felt pretty solid or is that cos it's held in by the screws that I missed haha

How do dashtec work as far as charging you go do you just send them of and you pay once there fixed I take it to call them up first what happens does the car still drive with no dial cluster in it going to need to still use it

Its held with the same screw that hold the clocks. Pull its top out and up after taking the screw out. Try not to rip it

you can phone them, my dad did, he paid via paypal from his debit card, and printed of a work sheet

Just out of curiosity rat20v what was wrong with your dad's dials did they tell you what the actual fault was

That ebay link has a few of the common faults listed. It does sound like it could be yours problem.

Nope they didn't, all i can say is it a common fault a power failure, i think its something to do with the 12 volt conversion to 5 volt power supply, it burns out over time, alot of newer cars have this problem at around 10 years old

Not really something you can attempt yourself then unless u really no what your doing that's all I was thinking you ain't had any problems with your inside door handles have ya passenger side has snapped off on mine crappy plastic me thinks another job to do haha oh and fuel flap need one of thos to

Ham fisted git or blaming the previous owner Here. This boy is braking one just for you. Its the two door though so double check parts fit of you are four door.

Just get an ebay account. That and paypal is free to join and you don't need to put cash in it. You could save £100's buying parts.
