Please help!! Stilo electrical issues
First of all I will list the problems I have with my stilo abarth semi auto 06.
Flappy paddles stopped working
Interior light constantly on
Horn doesn't work.
Various error messages such as"
Esp abs fault
Rear light failure
Anti pinch fault left front,

Most of these problems have occurred since I changed the brake discs and pads, also changed the heater fan which I had to disconnect the steering colum at the bottom,

Please if any1 can help before I go insane.

I removed the battery for a good 12 hours but didn't do a thing even my audio setting were still saved

I posted suggetions about the anti pinch sensor in one of your previous threads. What was the outcome?

In a previous thread, you said "the interior lights just do what they want". Has that now changed to one, or all, of them staying on constantly?

Regarding the paddles and horn problems, have you ever removed the steering wheel?
.

The middle interior light at the front just stays on and the 2 either side go on and off as they please, the rear ones come on when u get in the car and u have to turn them off manually, haven't touched the steering wheel, and I cleaned the connections on the door but no luck, I am sure there is an earth issue somwere

The interior lights get their power and earth supplies direct from the body computer. There are no sepearate earthing points for them. Switches for the interior lights are in the door locks. Try disconnecting the door to A pillar connectors one at a time to see if the interior light that stays on permanently, goes off.

Did you check the anti pinch sensor connector inside the door panel?
.

Thanks for that info I will check that once my daughter is in bed and get back to u , been out in the car and noticed it's everything on the steering wheel that's not working not lit up either

Just unplugged the connectors inbetween the doors and the light stayed on

Noticed a lot of threads going on about the d4 connectors think I will try that, is there anything else I could replace to maybe sort it as I do have another stilo abarth were the electrics are spot on it's the engine that's shot, (now breaking in classified ads if anyone's interested in parts)

Just noticed my brake lights are constAntly on aswell so assume I need a new brake light switch , when I lift the pedal they go off, could this be causing my esp/abs noncence?

Before attempting to replace the switch, you can try resetting it by pulling the plunger out with a pair of pliers. Its on a ratchet mechanism and what happens is, it can get pushed in too far and doesn't return to its original place.

Ok cool will try that just searching for a step by step maybe with some pics

Right I have adjusted the brake switch and sorted that out also replaced fuse box and cleaned connectors up but I am still getting abs/ esp etc also the whole steering wheel electrics still don't work , is there anything else I can try????

Been out again and found another problem, the high beam are constantly on, the blue light isn't on in the car but does come on when you flash the high beam but no change with the lights, just turned on regardless, please help

If it wasn't for bad luck James .........
