(G) Road Angel - USB Cable

My mate got quickly bored with his Road Angel - so I was quite happy to pay him twenty notes for it , he paid £300+ so I'm not complaining!

I've placed it where FiatTech happens to have placed it on this thread:

and currently I've fed a line from the boot power outlet (which I never use) through to the front so that I can still charge my phone in the front outlet (one day maybe I'll wire it in properly, but this will do for now).

My question is, where is the best place to feed through the USB cable? I'm on a wireless Laptop which has a fantastic signal out on the drive, so why bother taking out the R/A when I can upload updates with it all in the car... I was thinking of pulling out the top glovebox, feeding the wire thro' the back of the dash and pushing a hole in one of the top corners of the glovebox, leaving the USB cable loose in the box when not required. Any ideas?
