Hi, I am new to this forum.
Last week the clutch went bang all of a sudden.
It was driving perfectly then a little screech came in when the clutch pedal was pressed.
I assumed it was the release bearing giving early warnings but in the space of twenty minutes there was a bang which I assume was the bearing going through the fingers of the pressure plate.
I managed to start it in gear and drove it home.
I am now in the process of removing the gearbox.
What I need to know is why you state to split the inside driveshaft. Is there an issue with withdrawing the shaft from the box?
I tried to download the elearn but it will not download, just keeps telling me I am trying to download too quickly.

Just wait a minute between starting each section and it should download fibre

I have waited an hour and the same problem.

Anybody. Somebody here must know why it is stated to split the inner driveshaft joint rather than removal of the complete joint.

Oh dear, appears nobody knows.
