I saw a Michael Schumacher Stilo at my local fiat dealer today - had the GP kit on it!
Personally i thought it looked awful! Sideskirts are terrible - they look too big and square (no offence if any one out there has got them!) and as for the badges! hideous. They look like some cheap tat stickers from halfords! why could they not have had the schumacer logo done in a nice chrome finished plastic like the Stilo badges?

The only thing I did like was the front and rear bumper.

And to top it off they want 17K fot it! I would rater have an Arbarth thanks! - I mean 17K for an Arbarth (minus leather) with a few 'bolt on billy' bits on! trying to be sold as a special edition with only 200 in the country

I just wonder if Michael Schumacher has actually seen one! surely to god he wouldn't approve of the finish quality of it, especially the cheap scabby badges! I think he should feel insulted by this car being named after him!
I mean Senna has the NSX as a sort of tribute to his world title in 1990 and Schumi gets this, not even worthy to be RALF Schumacer Stilo!!!!!

This car could have, and should have been so much better and FIAT have bodged it - well doen FIAT!

Anyone else seen one up close? what are you opinions?

Yeah saw one at Stanford & thought it was bloody awful, especially the fit & finish. Personally I hate the whole bodykit it's ugly as f**k! (n)

saw one at mansfield fiat when i went to get some skirts, didnt get a close look, but did like what i saw from afar, although from what i've heard you can get the shuey look (lowered zorst etc) for much less than the extra moolah they want

Yup saw two at the Dealers - Ancasters of Catford and Thames of Croydon ages ago. Both GP versions - the salesman at Thames (who knew me from
Ancasters where I bought my Abarth) asked whether I'd to trade mine in for the Sch. I told him the only bits of the Sch I wanted were the wheels/tyres/suspension and exhaust - KEEP THE REST :D

All available cheaper elsewhere - GP kit is £2545+ from Fiat  Posted a photo of the exhaust on another tread earlier - can't recall where.

You can still get some pretty good discounts on the MS version.

And i dont think the bodykit is all that bad its not really that different quite subtle really.

The rear spoiler looks a lot nicer than the standard one though breaks up the colour a lil bit with the kinda splitter bit on it.

Wheels i love and suspension setup would be good.

But they shoulda offred it with more power as standard really say had a different map on the engine or some other lil bits to give it a bit more oomph to make it worth buying over an abarth more.

The GP kit isnt that bad the wheels alone are around £1200 suspension upgrade i can imagine being a fair bit to buy as well plus fitting. etc prolly doesnt work out that much extra from normal prices although you can get discounted prices.

Hi there,

Was lucky enough to test the one from the Mansfield Priory dealer. Liked it, but eventually backed down and kept the ones we have now. Didn't see the need after Nige had played with the Stilo.

I think its a little OTT and as mentioned above, no leather etc.

All the best

Rich

guess i suffer from a lack of taste i like it, i wouldnt buy it, but thats more because i dont have 17 grand lying about

I like the wheels, suspension, exhuast and the colour but personally id buy an abarth or a jtd with leather over it. Dont like the front bumper at all, used to but now ive gone off it and i dont paticulary want michael schumachers name on my car thankyou :p

I'd have a Schumacher GP for sure!! I'd have to buy it from Europe thought cos I'd want a Full Spec Stilo GP....

It looks gorgeous!

Schumacher GP is for the UK only, as all the GP is is a sooped up version done by prodrive & are only available to the UK.

In all fairness to the Scumacher edition I think it's worth mentioning that the GP version will be the best handling Stilo you can buy straight from the factory - and to be honest when your driving it, your not gonna be bothered about the looks. It's a bit like people saying Evos and Scoobies are but ugly (imo they're not) but if you drove one you'd soon not give two hoots about how it looks.

But for the record I would prefer a standard high specced Abarth with the GP kit fitted as an extra.

Disagree on the build quality bit - you're refering to a few stickers! - mind the car's as crap as any other Stilo - keeps Fiat Dealers alive in warranty claims.

That said, have just purchased one - GP Kit and all - Number 189 out of the 200.

Had the Schumy stickers removed - now has Abarth on the side-skirts and tailgate - now looks like a flash Abarth - much nicer.

Still a GP Schumy - brand new, 55-Reg, and I got a FAT discount.
Get this - paid £12,400 - that's £4,600 discount.

It drives a treat.

- Like you all to know that was my bro stealing my logon details!

Hi there!!:slayer:
It`s not a power thing as it bangs out the same as an Abarth, but sounds better with the GP exhaust, it does not have leather trim, but thats not to everyone`s taste either. They do not cost 17K anymore you can pick them up for around 13K new if you look around and if Prodrive are going to play with it you are going to get some nice properly set up Bling. The scuwee puts out anything between 170 and 185 BHP this may not sound to exciting however anything over 200BHP with front wheel drive and without a good suspension set up and electronics to back it up is wasted, ie if you can not keep the thing on the floor or going in the right direction what is the point in having the PONIES under the bonnet. If you had not guessed by now I own one a GP version No 100, go blag a drive in a standard 2.4 Abarth then drive a GP both on the same bit of tarmac in the same conditions and speed you will see what I mean. However at the end of the day it is everyone to their own and at the end of the day if it is total speed and handling that I want I just go out on either my Blackbird or Fireblade and bait a few evos, scooooobies or whatever takes my fancy.

Blademan
P.S You can not take it with you so spend it before the kids find it!!!!
