Hi folks
Looking at a 1.6 stilo which has a probem with suddenly cutting out now and then. Bit of research suggest possibility of ECU needing to be replaced - and I see that these can be purchased in a virginised state plug and play for around £150 - question is, is fitting a reasonably straight forward job for DIY?

Its in the engine bay mate. Looks like a wee 20 minute job but is it that simple, is the keys not coded to the car?

Or is it too good to be true bearing in mind that dealer ecu replacement seems to come in at £400 - £500ish?

Hmm interesting. Must do as it says but once its got all the cars information maybe you cant change it to another car ( why would you want to) You get a warranty so if you think he is legit why not?
