I'm putting a 3 door bumper with headlight washers on to my Mw.
What extra bits do I require to plug them in over and above what would be standard on my car? Just need to know about the headlight washer side of it, the bumper is self explanatory. Tried to have a look at eper, but it thinks I'm a pirate ??
55514 pages 4 and 5 are most relevant I reckon.

First, I assume you already know that the 3 door bumper is slightly different from the 5 door and MW one. Also, I seem to remember that yours is a JTD 115, in which case you'll need a JTD 115 bumper with the air vent in front of the intercooler.

ePER section 55514 page 4 is just the front and rear screen washer parts, page 5 is for headlamp washers.

As you told me previously that you already have a headlamp washer type bumper, I assume you also have the hydraulic washer jets (1+2+3) and the high pressure hose (4) that connects to both jets and to the high pressure pump (8). The resevoir end of the hose has a plastic socket and locking clip that secures the hose to a matching outlet pipe on the pump.

Other than that, you will need the high pressure pump (8) for the headlamp washers and the larger size resevoir (15) that the seperate headlamp and screen washer pumps fit into. The larger resevoir holds 6 litres (I think), because the headlamp washers use a phenomenal amount of water when activated. If you're going to buy the high pressure pump from Fiat, then the resevoir complete with both pumps (6), is actually cheaper than just the high presure pump (8). From my November 2012 version of ePER, the complete resevoir with both pumps was £65.63, whereas just the high pressure pump was £74.86.

Next problem is how you're going to wire it. The original design of the headlamp washers is controlled by the body computer M1 such that the high pressure pump N5 only runs if you operate the washer switch H5 while the headlamps are switched on. If you operate the washer switch while the headlamps are off, only the screen washer pump runs.

For it to work as original, you would need the high pressure pump relay T17, and the 20amp fuse F9 in the engine compartment fuse box B1. You would also need the 4 wires that come from the relay and fuse. I suspect that the red wire from the battery B99 is already there, but as for the other 3 wires it would be the same as the retro fitting cruise control situation. i.e. Are the wires already there or not.

Cheers Davren,

All the info that i need :)
As you correctly assume, i have parts 1,2,3 & 4 with the bumper. Pity i didn't know about the larger reservoir and two pumps prior to purchase or could have asked the seller before he scrapped the car

Maybe scour ebay before approaching Fiat for the reservoir and bits.
As for the wiring being present, will have to do a bit of plug and play to see what happens

Will update when i get the bits together (y)
