Hi lads
wanting to get some things done to my stilo while i have money and before my baby is born

is the exhaust on the 1.6 Stilo just the mani/cat to the back box?

if so i was thinking of just a straight pipe with tips welded on instead of a backbox?

The 1.6 has a centre box and a back box as I recall.

Eliminating the back box will make it very noisy and droney I predict - but you may like that of course. Longlife exhausts can do you a custom system in stainless and they have branches nationwide...

nice one thanks for that mate
I think i seen a turbo grande punto on here with the set up i want, cant remember

prob be cheaper too rather than gettin a new back box fitted (y)

The engine will be fine. Your ears will hurt and your neighbours will kill you if the police or VOSA don't get you first.

Don't forget that a turbocharger does a pretty good job of muting the exhaust note.

Sat here in the garage now and there gonna call me after the cut from the flexi to show how loud it is
If too loud I may just go with a short sports backbox

Got any pictures yet buddy?

no pictures of it getting done but i'll take some in a few minutes if i can (y)

got rid of center box and backbox
bigger diameter pipe, it was 54mm but now 57mm
from flexi back to just an oval tip

MEGA loud but a lovely note from it on tickover and when going up the revs (y)

I'll tag you when i get pictures (y)
