on the main screen on my unit, you have 2 boxes one showing the station or cd info, then the bottom one that is always blank, what info should be on display in the bottom box?

On the MAIN screen. Left column:

Top row shows the time*, then GPS signal strength, then GSM signal strength.
Second row shows the telephone operator for the SIM card and a yellow envelope if you have unread text message(s)
Third row shows radio station or CD info.
Fourth row shows trip info*.

* Time and trip info. will only be shown when the ignition is switched on, otherwise those areas will be blank.
