Hey folks,

With winter now almost in full swing, about once a week I'm presented with an engine fault error message, which usually disappears after another 3 or so journeys.

Connecting it up on the computer, I've got two separate recorded instances of the fault:

P105 - Pressure Sensor
Fault Status: No Signal
Engine Temperature 5.3 oC
Engine Speed: 1280 rpm
Engine Load: 54.75%
Throttle Position: 13.33 deg
Battery Voltage: 13.882V

and

P105 - Pressure Sensor
Fault Status: No Signal
Engine Temperature: 1.5oC
Engine Speed: 1240rpm
Engine Load: 52.50%
Throttle Position: 12.16 deg
Battery Voltage: 13.882 V

This always happens on a cold start, the engine starts up, idles up at around 1500 rpm, then drops down to almost 0, the car seems to "recover" and pops it back up to 1500rm then displays the engine fault.

I've had a friend comment that he can smell fuel too after turning off the car even when the fault is not displayed. The MPG has dropped a little, but not much. (And I haven't noticed a smell?)

It may be related, but when I was grabbing a code today, it was on MAR then it started making a whining noise, starting up the engine then caused a flurry of ABS failure and other error messages. Turning it off and on again cleared them though, and nothing appeared through ECUScan.

It's a 1.2 Stilo, 2003.

I got the same fault this week. And also the the crazy mix of ABS faults too. But I put them down to my battery not being fully charged.

I found this http://www.obd-codes.com/p0105

It gives a quick overview and explanation...also a few tests to see if your map sensor is busted before you replace it....But have managed to do none of these yet. Hopefully today though.
