1) warning of ice warning.... is there a sensor somewher in the car to be replaced as it says this all the time and outside temp is -2.5 according to the car?

2) on board computer, how do i get it to show MPG, i can find the 'cons. mpg' part but when i select it nothing happens? id like to know how to view it and reset it at each fill up.

3) in the very center of the dash at the windscreen, what is that little black knob like thing?

4) service due warning, how do i stop this coming up?

5) no seatbelt on, any way i can get this to beep aswell as just show a light

car is a 2003 stilo 1.6 16V

1) outside temp sensor is the little nipple under the drivers mirror
2) pressing the trip button on the wiper stalk cycles through the MPG and trip options, you have to wait 3 seconds for it to display any figures. to reset hold the trip button until the dash says 'Trip Reset'
3) i dont have this fitted on my car, i believe its something to do with the alarm but i dont know
4) service warning needs to be reset with MES or dealer level diagnostics equipment. the stilo has service 'tokens'. you can reset the service light 9 times (if memory serves me right) and then you have to perform a 'proxi alignment' to reset the service tokens. been a while since i've done it so maybe someone can confirm.
5) why would you want it to beep, it would be less work just to wear it everytime you got in the car... and it would save you getting points

is that sensor easy to change or can it even be changed?

if i fit led bulbs in park lights and get an error, does the error stay there even after the bulbs have been removed?
it stayed there on my punto

You need 'canbus' led replacements to stop the errors. The CAN senses resistance through the circuit. If its too high or too low it will throw a fault.

Iirc the temp sensor is replaceable need to strip the wing mirror I THINK the plug is in there... dont ask me how to strip the mirror thougg

3) black knob centre near wind screen is a sun load sensor fitted to cars with climate control
Basically works out how bright the sun is and adjust for the effects it has on internal temperatures

1) Disconnect the large round connector at the front of the driver's door and clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner (not WD40).

3) If your car doesn't have climate control, it's just an empty "little black knob like thing".

regarding the Canbus system in the stilo, if i replace the normal reg bulb with a non canbus led one i'll get the warning on dash.... but if i put back in the normal watt bulb again will the error clear straight away or stay on to be cleared by a dealer?

it never went away on the punto i had, thats why im asking because i want to do a led conversion

Should clear itself once the "fault" is fixed. If it doesn't, you can clear it yourself with MES (Multecuscan) www.multiecuscan.net

my bulb failure light doesnt light up on the dash when i turn the car so is it just a warning that pops up on start up of the car?
