Tuning JTD aftermarket intake Questions??
How much power are you running and what do you want to gain , power , noise, looks ?
don't think youll gain any power, noise yes.
say remap to 150hp or even 170hp you would be hard pressed to prove any filter change increases power, it will sound louder so feel more powerfull.
anything you can do to let fresh cold air into the filter will work better than what filter.
I don't find the std airbox restrictive at 200+bhp, but have opended up the entrance to snorkel slightly, even that I cant prove helped any.

I use a k n panel filter but probably little difference over paper.
save your money, and put towards a new clutch n dmf after remap.
or after remap you may find a better intercooler will help more(or before remap better)

Anything can be done to anything.
Only if mapped and intake temps rise may it be necessary or worthwhile.

For less pipework An alloy smic in original position but deeper might do it.
Only if mapped and intake temps rise may it be necessary or worthwhile.
