About 1.5 to 2hrs after I got in from my work this morning my cars ignition started to turn over and the headlights went on. I have a 1.6 Stilo have had no fault messages appear when I started the car to head to or from my work but it was ferry wet and I went through some large puddle's.

The problem is likely to be water in the engine fuse box.

have dried out the fuse box reconected the battery and all seems fine. Apart from the engine warning light when I start the car.

If you've fixed the problem, the warning light should go out after 3 clear starts of the engine.

problem sorted on start number 4 no warning light. Now have to try and avoid getting it too wet again. Not an easy thing to do in Scotland thanks for the help

If you have the large black plastic battery cover fitted, water shouldn't get to the fuse box. There's a moulding inside the cover that surrounds and protects it.
