Hello

Is it really worth getting a 4 wheel alignment done? Surely if the front 2 wheels are tracked properly and the steering wheel is straight, why bother with the rear wheels. There is a big price difference between the 2 and 4 wheel alignments. I need 2 new rack ends and then i want to get the tracking done afterwards but i don't know whether to go with the 2 or 4 wheel alignment.

Looking at my other thread https://www.fiatforum.com/tech-talk/334953-steering-wheel-off-centre.html 'Portland_bill' has given me a good answer :). However after I get these 2 new rack ends fitted the steering should be centred just by 2 wheel tracking. Anyway I'm undecided which one to go for.

None of the rear suspension angles are adjustable.

The rear axle mounting brackets have slightly elongated mounting holes, so theoretically you can move the position of the whole axle but not by very much.

I could be wrong, but I never saw the point in 4 wheel alignment other than for cars with four wheel steer. My old Honda prelude was four wheel steer, so I had it done on that because it did make a difference, otherwise its front wheels tracked and balanced and rear wheels balanced.

I have to agree with you Clivvy. If the rear wheels aren't adjustable in any way then i may just get the front wheels tracked again after i've had new rack ends fitted.
