Hi guys

I checked old threads for this issue and can't seem to find something this specific. I am hoping it is an easy-to-fix issue.

I took an Abarth Stilo for a fairly long drive last week and stopped at a fuel station for an ATM and when I tried to restart the car it refused to; all I heard was a click, the gauges moved and the light for the immobiliser came on.

After reading the manual I saw that there was an emergency start procedure for the car which worked that time but then when I got to the next fuel station to fill up the car wouldn't start up again and this time the emergency procedure wouldn't work. We did a kick-start and the immobiliser light stayed on but then car wouldn't start again after I had finally arrived at my destination and switched it off.

The very next day the car started without an issue but the immobiliser light stayed on. What gives?

This particular example has the Easy Go keyless entry system.

Hi,
just for simplicity,
get the fault codes read / then cleared,
see what happens,
maybe try a different battery in the car too, as a poor battery CAN cause mayhem,
