Thought id do a thread on my Stilo, with what parts have been changed and what other parts i should look at changing, buying the car last year with fiat forum stickers on i found out it used to be owned by Stilo073 on a private plate October 2012
He got rid because of this "turbo/power loss which turned out to be the ECU plug wasn't all the way down good
old cable tie sorted that!
new parts/things been done
fitted cruise conrol (Alfa stork)
MAF sensor
cleaned MAP
Blanked EGR with proper EGR Blanking plate
rear axle bushes
glow plugs
complete wishbones both sides
discs/pads on the front
o/s/r spring
o/s/r wheel bearing
handbrake cables x2
new tryes
drop links
Valeo Aero wipers
full service with Mobil1 ow/40 oil
cloth sun shades
Tracked 3 times!
Stil073 had also just put a new Varta battery and boost valve/pressure converter and a few more bits an bobs.
I need to get a new hub cap, rear wiper arm, stick the big plastic piece back on the bottom of the boot lid and a new reversing switch (and help/tips would be great)
next on the list is the turbo hose which makes the woosshhing noise,rubber spring top mounts i think there called!, cam belt kit/water pump, have a look at the engine mounts and wind deflectors
I love this car and cannot find a car the same size that is any better on fuel like the Stilo is!, although i paid £800 for her and have just spend over £850 on her. but she has paid for her self as i get 45p a mile from work and im all over the country!
