Sorry but this may come across as a really stupid question but I've just decided to take the plunge & save myself some mechanic fees by doing some of the usual service stuff myself. Have given myself a major pat on the back for changing plugs and coils without any problems but would appreciate some advice on air filter & oil filter changes...

Looking at the air filter box it's hidden underneath the battery tray - do I need to remove this to access the air filter? Is there an easy way to get to the filter?

Same question for the oil filter as well?

Best way to access both is to raise the car and remove the engine undertray. Once you've done that, access is straightforward.
