Hello,
So recently i went to local garage for brakes inspection. I kinda felt that braking distance started to get longer, and braking doesn't feel sharp like it used to. I was told my brakes are fine, no need for replacement or fix.
So i started to think that longer braking distance is due heavier wheels. ( they are wider than usual 17")
I would like to upgrade my front brakes for sharper response.
At first i was thinking about grooved "Black diamond" brakes

Which would be perfect with, also i would use new, better, pads.
My second thought would be, maybe i could fit bigger brakes from 1.8 stilo?
They are 281mm in diameter, i assume i would need to replace my calipers as well?
I was trying to search similar threads, i only find out, that using 2.4 abarth brakes to 1.2 requires a bit of modding, due different caliper fitment.
Does anyone know about using 1.8 brakes on 1.6? Is it possible?
Or should i just get grooved front disks with right diameter for my 1.6?
I would be grateful for any advice or tips regarding brakes upgrade (Rather than suggestion to change my wheels )
