Hi,

I have been reading several post about loosing antenna signal, but nothing that describes exactly the way the antenna cable goes, i was reading something about that it goes from the radio to the "my car panel" but i have no idea what that panel is and where i can find this.

The reason i ask is that i lost signal and for a few days when going over a bump the radio came back and a hour later gone again, now its gone forever so i suspect a loose connection, i have no signal on FM,LW or AM so its not only FM, when i go into the radio test menu i see the signal voltage is 0.7 - 1.1 i saw some people saying it needs to be 2-3V don't know if this is true.

Any tips are welcome to solve this as my kids complain already about having no music as the cd broke already while ago error 25, i took the whole unit out cleaned it but seems that laser end of life.

I could buy another adio/cdplayer unit on internet but i would still need to fix the antenna problem.

Thanks for all your help

Hi,

After some more investigation i removed the top glove compartment which was only two screws in the top and easy to take out the antenna cable goes behind that i followed it to the side panel with the passenger airbag de-activating switch also two screws which show up if you open the bottom glove compartment. Behind the panel of the airbag switch there was a joined of the antenna in a holder, the joined seems very firm i was not able to split it go i guess that most be good. I think the cable then goes down to the bottom up the the end and then somehow to the roof. Is there another joined somewhere or is it going straight to the antenna?

Straight to the antenna. But your problem comes from the unit itself, it's a common fault to the Stilo radios. Your antenna cable it's fine.
