hi guys, is this the aircon pressure sensor?

If so, am I able to just remove it and replace without degassing?

Yes that's it there is a valve under it just remember to support pipe when removing.

I had a look online for replacement pressure switch, about £40 delivered so not too bad.

When you say support the pipe...why? it doesn't look like removing the switch will cause anything to drop?

The pipe is fragile sensor might be tight or rusted saves you broken condenser or pipe.

I got a new sensor form an online aircon shop, weighed in at around £40 delivered. Job was easy. Had to remove undertray, and side protection cover and the sensor is really easy to get to. Not too tight either, just a nice bit of pressure on the spanner and it was loose.

Plugged in new one, crossed my fingers and started the car. Immediately hear the compressor clutch kick in and BAM, nice cold air.

I'm chuffed, mostly because its hit 24 degrees here...!!

I really do love this car!
