Apologies if I'm being thick, but I've just received a load cover for the boot area and after fitting it there's a big gap between the back of the rear seats and the edge of the load cover.

Don't know if there should be something else attached to the rear of the load cover or seat but there are some small clips on the rear seats on the top edge facing the tailgate?

Should there be a manufacturers mark somewhere on the load cover to check I've received the right part cos I'm wondering if I've been sent a part that aint the one I requested?

Anybody got a pic of their's in situ and a shot of the ends of the load cover for comparison? I'm asking for the "ends" shot as well as mine seem to be a different shape to the holes they're supposed to fit into?

As Toyah said "Itth a misthtery"

Does the MWagon have rear seats that move back and forward to increase and decrease load space? If so, you could slide your seat back to meet the edge of the load cover...

Hello

I have a load cover in my hatchback. If the covers are same, at the back of the load cover (near the seats) should be a pull out leather cover thing! I've taken 2 photos.

The first one is taken from above and you can see the leather pull out flap that clips onto the back of the rear seats

This is a view underneath (from the boot) showing it clipped to the seats. The bar you can see in this photo is where the leather flap pulls out from.

Hope this helps.

Just to clarify because it's not to clear from the pics, etc (but thanks for the efforts).

Mine has the sliding seats and even with the seats all the way back, there's a gap as described.

Are we saying that the load cover should have a retractable part that clips in at the tailgate end (as normal with hole to insert hand to pull back), AND a second retractable cover that clips to the rear of the back seats?

Ta.

So the MW version of the cover is different then. Anyway like Davren said there should be a pull out cover that clips onto the back of the rear seats. Then when you slide the rear seats forward it retracts this slide out cover till you lock the seats in place. Sorry i can't offer anymore help with this as the hatchback load cover sits behind the parcel shelf. Sounds like the MW retracts from each end like Davren said.

Yes.... there are two retractable covers that go from the front of the load cover to the back of the rear seats. One of the two is wider than the other to match the different widths of the single and twin rear seats.

Cheers for that Davren.

It's in for it's MOT tomorrow so I'll have another look when I get it back.

That said, I'm pretty sure it hasn't got the covers that fasten on the rear seats so I'll be sending it back from whence it came.

I'm still a little perplexed by this load cover issue.

I've now tried three different load covers for the MW in my vehicle, from '03/'04 and '05 motors (mines a '53), none of which have the two pull out sections that clip to the rear of the back seats.

And,as before, even with the seats back and fully reclined, there's still a gap between the rear of the load cover and the rear seats.

:confused::confused:

You will need to get the load cover specific for the MW version.
