Hi everyone,I have had the car for nearly 2 months now and bar waiting to have the gearbox mount changed, it's been great.
Last week the clutch felt strange on returning, which I attributed to something caught on the bottom of my shoe, having driven it today that's not the case.
The clutch bite point and function remains the same, but when released the last inch of travel feels different, sort of like the resistance has changed and there is a very light plastic noise.
As you depress the clutch thus first inch it feels loose, then past that point you feel feel resistance as normal.
Needless to say this is a new issue, the clutch sounded plasticky (rubbing sound) before but I assumed it was a fiat feature.I can't see it dropping anything and the fluid level looks okay.
Any ideas?

Possibly the white plastic cup and clip that the clutch master cylinder push rod rests in is starting to break.

Read all of the thread. If yours doesn't make the clicking sound, it doesn't necessarily mean your problem is not the clip and cup.

Thanks for the reply davren, on first read I had decided that wasn't it. Having reread it and checked it looks like the cup has gone.Just need to work out how to change it now.

When I did mine, there wasn't enough space to get the plastic parts out because the push rod was in the way. It only needed a few millimetres extra so I loosened the two master cylinder nuts and pushed the cylinder forwards a little.
