I cannot find the Bleed valve/nipple for the Clutch on the JTD ?
I have the car on ramps, can't see it from below or above ?

Anyone know ?

The 115bhp engine has a Concentric Slave Cylinder located inside the gearbox bell housing. The hose connects to the CSC at the top of the bell housing.

To bleed it, partially lift the circlip that holds the hose, then pull the hose out about 10mm only. Remove the rubber cap and fluid should come out of the bleed nipple on top of the hose by gravity. The bleed nipple is moulded as part of the hose. Don't try to unscrew it because it will break off. If fluid doesn't come out by gravity, you may need to pressurise the resevoir slightly.

Once bled, push the hose back in and push the circlip back down.

Thankyou darren ,will have a look around the top, it must be hidden behind soething.

It's the same (EDIT: well, similar) on the Selespeed Abarth (for the record). Took me a while to figure it out, but was exactly as Davren says - pull out the clip slightly, then pull the hose out a little way, and fluid will flow from the bleed nipple (which has a rubber cap to pull off). Sorry I'm not really adding anything to the conversation other than to confirm that it was a bit puzzling, but easy once figured out

I think the hose has O-ring seals. When it's pushed back in, the flow to the bleed nipple is stopped.

I see on the JTD that the clip is a sliding steel type, probably easy enough to refit if it comes out of its slot. On the Abarth, the wire clip is very difficult to refit if you pull it out completely (has to be threaded into holes) - so best to pull carefully till it 'clicks' and releases the hose.

Thank you Darren & Alex, yes it was a bit hidden & in relative darkness behind the hard plastic induction pipe & part of the wiring loom.
Well I'm lucky I have the JTD then Alex as hamfisted me managed to pull the clip right off in one go:eek:...still all back together no worries :)
