Hello.I'm back. This time with some improvements, but I am not 100% satisfied.I finally found the right sizes of the springs.Changed the alloys and tyres. And finally went for a 4-wheel alignment. Before I had done the alignment the steering was pretty light. After the alignment it went harder, and the car is very hard to control. The steering is like a spring.I turn left and if I leave the steering it will come as the initial form very fast.I have to fight with the steering wheel all the time. This thing was like that since the genuine front springs broke. The spring are aligned as it should be.The bearing is fit as it should. The only thing I did not manage to understand is:why does the top rubber mounting does not turn when the strut is off the car.I tried with the old parts that I have, but still nothing. The only thing I did not changed is the lower rubber mounting. Can that be the cause why is not turning? Thanks

top rubber mounting does not turn when the strut is off the car.

I would recon it has tension on it from spring try fitting to car top only then see how it turns.

Can you explain how should I do that?I can't understand what are you trying to say.Sorry.And thanks

Recon could mean reckon, in that he believes it to be under spring pressure, so he is suggesting removing it to check its free state.

Or it could mean to recon it, reconfigure, reconstruct, refurbish, etc. I don't think this is possible, so I believe he must mean the first option. Hope this helps.

Ok.Thanks for clearing that for me.In that case, I already tried that. And it is turning.I know that the pressure of the spring is the cause why its not turning when its off the car,but somebody said that it should turn anyway.I thought that might be the rubber bottom part which I didn't changed. Its is quite annoying this "frame" steering.I am saying frame because its like its not going smooth,it skip some part.Hope you understand what I am trying to explain. Thanks again

If it rotates when not under tension, it should be ok.
Once on the car, the forces to turn it will be far greater than you can manage by hand. If still doubtful, get a helper to turn the steering while you stick your head under the wheelarch to see. ! Don't get your head trapped by a turning wheel!

All right. Thanks again for the tips.Just one more question. If I will buy the correct cable, can I connect to the Ecu with Multiscan, and reset the steering ecu?Because sometimes, the steering is light, sometime is very hard.On the same speed, same place just different time. Thanks

I meant reconnect shock absorber to vehicle top part only you should be able to turn by hand.

So,what you mean is:take the 2 bolts holding the strut connected to the hub and leave the top part secured as It was when driving? And try to turn it with the hand?If that's what you mean, I already tried that and its not turning. As soon as the weight of the car is supported by the strut, the steering seems to turn it.I am not sure if the steering rack its struggling, because sometimes I can hear a squeaky sound coming from the engine bay. Thanks and sorry for misunderstanding.
