hi people, this one is a strange one and i cant find the cause, so ive turned to you guys. what it is i have a scraping noise, it is there after you accelerat and then the noise is when you stop accelerating. id say you can here it after about 20mph.
it sounds just like a rubbing disc, ive checked the out drive shaft , no play. checked the wheel bearing no play. i even changed the bearing and the drive shaft to out rule them. changed disks and pads. still the noise is there. i never changed the inner driveshaft housing. the part to the gearbox. ive changed the gearbox oil. which was clean. but changed it and put molyslip treatment in as well. ive come to the idea it might be the bearing on the inside shaft to the diff ?? can anyone help on this, as its got me. also does anyone know in the uk where to get this bearing from and what it would be called ?
thanks

ive also checked the abs sensor and nothing like wire ect rubbing anywhere all the way to gearbox

nope, i wish it was as simple as a stone, total striped the the outer side out cleaned, checked and rebuilt.

Is your anti-roll bar touching the drive shaft? I've had that before. Tell tale was a very light but perfectly straight ring scratched into the surface corrosion on the shaft. Happened more under cornering though.

thanks for the input, but ive checked all that. nothing making contact with the shaft.
