All worth replacing in my view. The undertray does a pretty good job of keeping your electrics dry and other detritus out of the engine bay. Should be plenty of old Stilos in scrap yards by now that you could plunder...

personally i would replace both but i like a clean engine bay and it makes servicing easier if its clean!

as for the arches get it replaced i got water in my fuse box and thats not what you want trust me i talk from that hellish experiance! :bang:

but as for the filter i would get a mushroom filter remover the box shorten the pipe and attach the mushroom filter (y) thats what i done, better fuel consumption and better pull when putting the foot down! (y)

Wheelarch liners help prolong the life of the inner and outer wings, less dirt = less rust, so worth replacing.
Undertray helps keep dirt out, also smoothes airflow. I would recommend replacement if possible as it will help to keep out stray twigs and plastic bags. Twigs and bags can destroy alternator and cambelts, get trapped around driveshafts brakes and exhausts. A plastic bag up the air intake will suffocate the engine.

If the air intake is that low, as a lot of turbo and diesel cars are, beware of floods as an engine ingesting water is usually terminal. And you get wet wading away from the wreck.

I tend to disagree. Servicing is no different, and under tray doesn't stop much dirt, that's the wheel arch liners.

as panda bill says it stops bags and twigs but it also stops mud and road rubbish building up on filters and sump plugs and cables and its less messy when doing a complete oil change it also tops spray of water up on to electrical connectors in the engine bay, (y) i would just put in to ebay "mushroom filter" when it comes line it up and see where it best fits in to your system :)

Thanks for all your opinions, i have pm'd Gizmo to see f he still has his MW which he is breaking for parts, hes only in Runcorn an im only Cheshire Oaks. so fingers crossed he has still got it!

i will look into these mushroom filters, or if anyone can give anymore info.

Cheers

Bringing up this old thread.

Does anybody else's undertray rub on speed bumps, mine has just come back from the garage and the rear of the undertray seems really low, of course its cable tied together from the two bolts on the bumper downwards, it just seems floppy! was there a support at the rear it got screwed to.

if i go over the bumps in 1st gear it still gives a the speed bump a good old kiss!

Just thought if anyone has the same issue
