HI ALL , ive read all the threds about fiatecu/multiecuscan on the forum but im still not 100% sure , as there r a lot of diferent/newer leads out , i have found this set of cables on ebay which clames it has the latest ELM 327 1.4 interface with can bus and does not need to be modifide also comes with the KKL interface and 3 adapter cables and drivers all for £42.98 . 380516700235 item number on ebay. i will still have to down load the software free version. so if some one could take the time to have a look at those leads on ebay and let me no what they think or if ive mist something out that i will need to get my stilo jtd 115 02 3dr sorted for mot. i have airbag and engine warning lights on and would like to get rid of the service due msg too....

thanks davren , allthow going by the sellers description they r all suitable hence why im asking my fellow fiat comrads for their help on this matter , but hay at least u botherd to have a look and reply, thanks again.

katanabandit1 r u saying i DONT need the kkl cable [the blue one not pictured in ur link] to diagnose, read, delete airbag and engine fault codes ?

err well thats funny coz multiecuscan told me i need the vag com interface when i tried to conect with the elm via the red cable to read the airbags.so i did and then it conected. got these up , 3L 0E 0E 02 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm when i used the elm for engine codes i got these p0704 p1555 p0235 . Ive cleared both the engine and airbag falt codes 3 times so they must b curant faults , daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam wats the damage???

for the airbag light, check the yellow plugs under each of the front seat, It's been done on mine (got a receipt in the paper work) and I have some instructions printed off from autodata for remedy.
Which brings me to my problem of where the plastic tray with all the plugs on fits under the seats?

got cables (first post) got codes p0704 p1555 p0235 and airbag codes 3l 0e 0e 02. multiscan says battery has 6. something volts but multimeater says 13. somthing ive cleand the earth conections gearbox body under bat tray and the one on the left by ecu , and the yellow conections for airbags have been done exsept the clock spring and the pass seat ocupide sensor is done ive looked at the break and clutch switches they seem to be doing wat they should b just need to test them with multimeater . ive cleand the map and the egr is blanked ..... did this post in more detail erlier but lost it so just rushed tis one , any light shed on this will b great thanks guys

Did you clear the faults then take the car for a test drive to make sure the faults where still there and the codes reappeared? Sometimes old codes are left, things get fixed but the codes are still stored in the ECU, best to delete and test drive before hand.

have deleted codes several times but they dont clear off the dash just off the multiecuscan screen. ignition on engine light stays on and airbag light stays on also it wont test other lights on the dash like passenger airbag on/off ,seat belt, indicators can u not do these tests on free version or is i not doing it right ? should every thing i can c on the multiscan screen work on the free version, most ov the faults say there intermiediate but sored . at first after reading the code faults and about them i thougt i just needed to clean the map or get a new one and sort out some dodgey conections but its not that easey it seems

oh and it has killed one battery in the last 12 months (bosch) and now ive got a vitara 74 ah and it flatend that after it was sat for 3/4 days. as i said thought it was just a bad conection some were giving me most of the faults other than the earths ive allready cleand (body under bat tray ,gearbox and the one on left body by ecu ) are there more that would give me a problem, and can i test the map with multimeter?

scrap all that as i have just worked out that i carnt conect up and it was just a simulation, com port does not exsist check settings ?????? back to the drawing board , gona start from the begining make sure ive set up the drivers etc properly ,,,,, lol wat a numpty

just read the post about shadyman buying his daughter a red multiwagon and it had p0235 code witch turned out to b the map sensor , could this b my problem too ??? as i got a second hand boost control valve of ebay months ago and that didnt sort it and i tried a freinds boost control valve and that didnt solve any thing. hope so as there a lot cheaper map that is

P0235 = Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Malfunction.

So it refers to the boost sensor, not the valve. The boost sensor is the MAP sensor. The fault code refers to the circuit, not necessarily the sensor itself. Check and clean the connector first, if that doesn't cure it, the sensor may need cleaning.
