Hi FF,
A month ago i traded my punto mk2 for a 2007 stilo with the 8v jtd. Ever since i got it, the only key it came with had a ridiculous short range, i had to be within 1-2 meters of the car for the doors to open/close and the window open/closing feature would often stop halfway. My first thought was changing the battery, which i did, i've put in a top of the line, quite expensive, energizer... It helped but only a bit, it sill works in the max 2 meters ragnge, but the windows are openging/closing for as long as i keep the button pressed.
Unfortunately i don't have another key fob to try with, but could it be an issue with the fob? Or with the ECU/antenna connector being dirty/oxydated, if so, where can i find the ECU and the antenna?
Also, if i can find a fob from another car, is it possible to programm it to work with the car? Has anyone tried this?
Also if programming a key is possible, can a fiat 500 key be programmed to the stilo? It's quite pretty
