as above noticed the car has started doing this if say your driving along at 60mph and go to accelerate the engine starts spluttering but keeps trying to accelerate while spluttering then the engine management light comes on flashing and beeping anyone had this issue before im thinking coilpacks

I agree. Coil packs is what I'd be checking out

I agree with both. Though if the coil packs are gone, it shouldn't happen only at high speeds. Try and get it diagnosed on Fiat Examiner or FES (maybe someone around your area has FES). That way you can definitely tell what's wrong.

im going to change the coil packs as it does it when your getting upto speed it does it more frequentley or accelerating through the gears

but if your just taking it easy driving easy is ok

i downloaded fes and am waiting on a bluetooth adapter so im going to go through the car like a fine tooth come checking for faults

small update fitted a coil pack number 2 to be exact car is running a lot better no spluttering or anything has back its power and no more engine management light on..

still have god forsaken airbag failure engine stop crap flashing at me but hope to get this sorted once my bluetooth adapter comes and find out which airbag is at fault
