Never a good idea to start a new thread on the same subject. I've combined your 2 threads here now.

The bonnet open warning sensor is a small switch attached to the bonnet catch.

ok the bit the arrow pointing to I can not see nor can I see any wires for it there it was fine a few weeks ago

You will only have the bonnet switch if your car has the original Fiat alarm installed.

The link I posted in post #2 above is for people that have the "Bonnet Open" warning message, but don't have the alarm or bonnet switch.

I wud hav fort mine was as it was working ok til a few weeks ago

If you have the alarm, you will have the 2 volumetric sensors AND the 2 alarm cancelling switches in the roof console. Picture below is for Stilos with the electric sun roof, If you don't have an electric sun roof, the 2 switches will be in the centre of the roof console.

bonnet warning light sorted

I recently had a light on my car sayin the bonnet was open even tho it was not it was fully shut I had my car in for mot and it failed but while doing the work myself I took the battery off for 24 hours so I could do the work on my car when I had done all the work put the battery back on and the light stayed off so the ecu must had fully reset it self and sorted this out this is a car without the micro switch on so if have this problem I would suggest they try this as it helped me and now its off so no more annoying beep when pulling away all the time
