Hi,

Im like always, full with questions, and with no luck finding the right answer.

Im looking for backbox for my stilo 1.6 Its quit expensive to make a custom exhaust at my country, also sport silencers arent so cheap as well.

I recently found out about FK automative (http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/) sales. And im interested in buying an universal sport silencer (assuming it will fit)

I got my eye on this:
http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en...-Sport-Muffler-fit-for-universal-oxid-11.html

I was trying to find the dimensions (etc connection pipe 57mm) of original stilo backbox, but failed.
Could anyone help me on this? Should i know something specific about universal silencers on stilo? Or maybe 2x76mm tail pipe is to wide for stilo?
Any info would nice.

What i want from new silencer, is to get a better sound (nothing too much..) and of course the looks.
Heres a video i found on youtube, i just love the sound of silencer :))

Off topic:
So far i managed to get:
Steering wheel with buttons
Coilovers
and few other items, just because of FF members help :)

Maybe this would help:

Interesting thing is that I was driving car without back-box...and the sound was not too loud at all... Just a nice deep sound.
The real work with "sound" would be to remove or modify middle box (resonator), but I am not sure how safe it is to do (regarding backpressure). Anyway I would try to do it in the future.

So this is basically a straight pipe line from middle box to double end muffler? Im also curious about co2, was it still legal? any problems at MOT?

the connection pipe for 1.2-1.8 16v is 42mm (don´t know exactly..)

however JTD and 2.4 abarth has 54mm

cheap exahaust has for example Ulter sport (Polish company), I have their products (back boxes) for years on my Stilo 1.8, AR 2.5 V6 sportwagon and tipo..in combination with various configurations and if the rest of the exaust remain stock, itthe sound will be quite like serial back box... without any problem at MOT...

thei are for reasonable price and last long... (I have one over 4 years in everyday use..)
