Hi there,

Had my mot last mon and as well as few general bits, i needed to replace steering wheel (leather had split at top) and idicator stalk wasn't cancelling properly.

I ordered replacement parts off ebay, and have attempted today! Got the airbag out and steering wheel off. But for the life of me i could get the indicator/wiper stalk unit to come off, is the a certain way to get it off? screws or clips i may be missing?

And also i didn't realise there would be different types, as seems to be different one that ive ordered to the one on my car (1.9 jtd 115) Can you replace them as long as it comes with the clock spring on the new unit, which mine has?

Or if they cant be swapped with the slightly different units, is the anyway to fix the non cancelling problem or?

Many Thanks

Benvo

The clockspring and indicator/lights/wiper switch both need to be the correct one for your car.

Usual reason Stilo indicators don't self cancel (especially the left side) is the small rubber gaiter around the stalk. Leave it off, or cut a bigger hole in it.

I didn't see a allen key bolt ? i looked round but couldn't see anything obvious ? (had been doing the steering wheel for quite abit so was prob getting more frustrated lol!)

Where do i need to look exactly when you say securing O ring?

Thanks

Yeh i had shroud off, but wouldn't be surprised if i missed it. As was getting frustrated lol! Ill have a look again tomorrow.

Thanks
