Hi can anyone tell me if i can use fully synthetic oil 5w-30 in my 1.2 stilo as its due a servce and halfords are selling it at £10 instead of £39 paul.

Yes you'll be fine with that oil.

been to halfords they are out of fully synthetic only have the part synthetic is this still fine and what benefits would it have if any paul

What oil has your car previously had? If you've had fully synth you shouldn't be going back to semi iirc.

its had semi synthetic 10w40 i think got the car up forsale but if it dont sell will need to change oil soon

The 1.4 engine uses 5W-40 oil. Is the 1.2 the same? I think ASDA do a 5W-40 fully synthetic.

sorry to hijack but can anyone confirm oil capacity of a 1.6 stilo. Is it 3.5ltr?

Nope my 1.4 uses 10W40 Semi, not 5W40.

I also use 10w/40 Semi in my 1.6

My instruction book (2006 5 door car) specifies 5W-40.

10/40 in mine too. 1.6

Valvoline 5w30 semi-synth in my 1.2, starts easier in the cold and sounds less tappety as it gets to the top of the engine quicker.

My old beamer was 6.5 litres which sucked lol... My stilo is a hell of alot les thank got lol and 4 plugs instead of 6. Win win
