Hi all, my wife has a 2002 Fiat Stilo, over the last week it has intermittently displayed the 'Checking' message on the dash instrument screen when starting the car. Where this would usually go off after a couple of seconds it seems to sometimes stay on and when it does none of the instrument dials work (rev's, speedo , fuel etc..)
Not sure what the fault is, at first I suspected the instrument cluster was at fault, but it does always show the message 'Checking' when the instruments decide to not work and previous posts seem to show it is usually in an all or nothing state?
Checked the fuse which is OK, so all I can assume is its either a dodgy wiring (where though?) or it is the instrument cluster?
Not really wanting to spend hundreds getting this fixed as the last couple of months seems to keep bring problems with this Stilo....
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
