hi people this is my first time on here
And my stilo 1.6 16v is no very well its running on 3 cylinders and its got a loss in power and its drinkin petrol like a v6 .
I checked the coil packs and no1 was not workin so fitted a new one and plug all the rest were workin ok it ran ok for about 10min then it started again i checked the plug again its was covered in unburnt fuel so i think it might be the fuel injector any ideas guy.......?? :bang:

If it's covered in unburnt fuel then you should check the spark plug forthat cylinder. Then check the resistance of the injector if the spark plug's fine, there's a guide on here for checking resistance.

i tried that link because im not that sure hay you do it but that link is no help sorry

take the plug off the injector and check its resistance across the only 2 pins... it should be 14-18Ohms. if its outside of this then the injector is duff you will be needing a new one.

failing that there is 4 things that can cause it to misfire

1) bad plug
2) bad coil pack
3) bad wiring from ECU
4) ECU fault

let us know what resistance your injector is showing then we can advise further
