The bulb failure module does not monitor headlamps.
Bulb failure module is a bit of a misnomer because it doesn't just monitor bulbs, it monitors the complete circuit including the bulbs. It works by monitoring the electrical resistance of the circuit and shows the error message if that resistance is outside of tolerance. If yours is showing brake light failure, it could be because of a high resistance in the brake light wiring such as a faulty connection, earth or bulb holder. It could also be because the resistance of the bulb has changed over time. The latter often happens with poor quality cheap bulbs.
