Instrument panel gone blank no speedo, warning lights. Message says checking. and clock is locked at 6.58pm, the time I got home last night and switched the car off. Any ideas?
How do you take out the cluster and replace if I leave the mileage as is does it have to be programmed to ecu/car?

I have just checked fuses for instrument cluster to no avail, now message checking on dashboard has disaperred. sat nav screen okay

Check the battery voltage and do a proxy alignment using diagnostic equipment (MultiECUScan, ELM327 cable, etc.) The clock being 'locked' suggests a CAN bus problem. Might not be the instrument cluster and could be caused by something else on the CAN bus, such as a fault with the Connect Nav+ (assuming that is what you meant by "sat nav"). Proxy alignment resynchronises the devices on the CAN bus.

Instrument cluster can be replaced and mileage can be synchronised with the car using diagnostic equipment again, but it can only be increased (not wound back) so replacement has to come from a lower-miles car.

Welcome to the forum - whereabouts are you and is the Abarth your car? :)
