Hello everyone new to the site!
`03 Stilo 1.9 jtd 80 with duff dash cluster, I can get a replacement as mine is beyond repair but I am told that they are cloned to the cars ECU, is this true or will a replacement fit straight in and work?
Thanks in anticipation
Doug.

When i first got my car i had to have a replacement cluster fitted 04 multiwagon.

Make sure that the cluster your getting is the same model (think the model number was on the back of mine) and it will fit straight in. Problem being it will flash the mileage because its a different cluster, this is easily fixed with multiecuscan registered version by doing a proxy alignment. 1 BIG tip is try to get one with a lower mileage, then you can correct to your actual mileage with multiecuscan, it will not however lower the new clusters mileage.

Hope this helps

I can repair your cluster for 65 pound plus 11 pound for shipping costs NL to UK.
I did lots of them and 99% of them can be repaired.(if not tampered with)
Please send PM when you're interested....

You can get almost any replacement and fit it. Used from a scrappy will be fine, however the mileage needs to be lower than yours to be able to get the mileage to sync up.

Once fitted you'll need to complete a proxi alignment to stop the mileage flashing and correct the mileage - this can be done yourself using MultiECUscan.net software (y)

Thanks for your reply, do you or anyone have a cluster for 1.9jtd 80?
Doug

What milaege has your JTD got? As MEP said mileage has to be lower on the doner car if you're getting one from scrappy. I may be able to help though - I have a spare cluster off a 1.8 that had roughly 80k I think, I'll check that out. I got it for free with my recent purchase of all new interior and sat nav etc, so I would be willing to part with it as I also got a white Abarth cluster which I did use :p Pretty sure there's nothing the 1.8 cluster doesn't have that the JTD needs? PM me if you're interested buddy :)

BUT...couldn't you just swap over the dial faces between the two so that the rev range is correct? After proxy allignment wouldn't the needles be "calibrated" to the correct rpm of the diesel engine?

In theiory. I'm not sure if the range on the petrol would be ok, and it would only go up to 4.5-5k and not sweep into the 7k area or if it'll show the wrong RPM if that makes sense
