Hey guys the latest problem is that my demisters arent working very well but only on the right hand side. Theres really pathetic air flow coming out on the drivers side but its fine on the other side so only my half stays foggy....which is obviously pointless lol. It seems like there is generally quite weak air output from all the other vents too, but the pollen filter is quite new and straight after i changed it the fan system was working a treat.
Also, my air con doesnt seem to be kicking out very cold air which sounds like its in need of a regas but i had it regassed in the summer not too long ago...could these problems be connected?

Thanks
HH

If you have automatic climate control, try the reset procedure.

Turn the ignition on, then within 40 seconds hold both the "AUTO" and "MONO" buttons in until one side of the display counts down to 0. Then release the two buttons. You should hear the actuators reset themselves

Hi. I always remove the pollen filter on my cars, in my opinion unless you suffer with hay fever they are a complete waste of time.

I found as soon as they get damp they restrict the airflow a lot.

Some believe they protect the heating system and the driver from debris, that’s not a lot of good when you stack the car because you can’t see where you are going.

Both my Stilo’s had the filters removed one has just clocked 225,000 miles the other 150,000 and the heating systems still work perfectly.

I am still alive and my lungs still work, unless you’re going to pop on an ffp3 standard dust mask every time you leave the car or drive with the window open there is really no advantage to the pollen filter.

Your not normally chugging behind vehicles emitting crap when on foot though

May as well remove engine air filter while your at it, allow that to breath a lot better ;)

If you live in a city you’re always chugging behind buses and Lorries even on foot.

The pollen filter doesn’t remove exhaust fumes; the clue is in the name, pollen filter.

Wow thanks for the info about the 3 degrees air con cut off, i didnt know that before.
Also i think its obvious i wont be removing the pollen filter...the last time i changed it...it was full of crap i dont fancy that stuff being stuck in my vents and certainly not my lungs!
Any other views why my demister is so weak on the drivers side?

Thanks
HH
