after a weekend of bank statement looking, i have had to face the truth and let my beloved stilo go.

its now in the for sale section as my car insurance is due in january too and with my trains faires going up its a cost i could do without, so even though i am selling up i hope to be back when i can get back on the stilo ladder as they are awesome cars

Funny, I have the opposite process going on... My bargain Stilo was a fraction of the price of my other two cars (500 and 166) and I've decided it can replace them both - much cheaper running one car than two, and with the money left over I'd like to 'upgrade' my Spider to a V6. That does, however, mean that I'm trying to sell three cars... so good luck with selling yours, I think you have more chance of success than I do :)

Its staying whoo hoo, crisis averted, may start using to get to and from work now instead of the train :) should save me some money :)

Good choice but public transport must be overpriced if it's cheaper to use a car? what about the parking costs in London? I know they can be horrendous - I stayed with a friend at St George's Wharf and the parking under his apartment cost £30/night, more than the cost of renting a car each day!

well my train fair is £328.40 a month at the moment but this is due to go up in january to £370 a month, my in-laws live in london outside the congestion zone so i will park on there drive and then use my oyster card to get to work on the tube, will cost me roughly £100 a month on the tube and about £100 in fuel, seems like a win win to me
