Right guys, before we go any further, I don't own a Stilo. I have a signum 1.9cdti 150hp. Yeah I know it's a Fiat engine. My dad has a Jag XF , but he has a 1.9jtd stilo 115hp, it's red, a 55 plate and was bought as a C cat right off. It had a wee bump on the back and didn't need too much repair. We used to buy lots of salvage (I got a Brera 2.2 jts SV with front damage, sorted it And caught the Alfa-Fiat bug. Anyway he kept the Stilo for getting to and fro work. Well we had a bit of a tatty fiat stilo , but in the last couple of months I have fitted bilstien B4s, Eibach springs new wishbones ( 14.5mm bushes, I always end up with the dear ones). ARB bushes, drop links , track rod ends, and every bolt brand new from Fiat.
Done the back swinging arm bushes (Massive Massive respect to the ledgend that is the "SHADEYMAN". You are a star mate.
I removed the inlet manifold, you don't need to alter the timing to do so. And heavy scrubbed the muck out it. Cleaned inside of throttle body with autosol, caustic soda brings the manifold like new.i put a new EGR ON, with the restrictor plates and replaced all the vacuum hoses with 4mm silicone hose (eBay).
I also replaced the turbo cartridge and vacuum actuator (Nerings in Riga) took it for a run after getting Kwik fit to track it on the Hunter machine. (Some bit of kit). Well anyway , the thing is like sh!t of a shovel and the handling is awesome I honestly think I'm going to buy an other fiat or Alfa. I have been bitten really badly. But what can you do.

I have one have had one since july, full cream leather 1.9 jtd 115 on a 53 plate, upgraded fiat 17" wheels, its a awesome car but i may have to let it go soon as i need to buy a new people carrier as our main car, hopefully i will get to keep it lol they look really nice too

The Stilo really is a hidden gem. Just had some minor bodywork done on mine and when the owner of the body shop returned the car (he's driven and owned a lot of cars in his time) he could not believe how good it was. Offered me cash to buy it there and then!

I refused of course..!
