Hi everyone

I am the proud new owner of a fiat stilo 1.9 jtd
But the other day I was setting of for work I must of gone 10 yards
And it cut out saying low oil pressure and won't start again there is
Plenty of oil in I checked on dip stick does anyone wat has gone wrong please.

Thanks Jake .

Low oil pressure warning usually comes up as a result of a stalled engine or unexpected cut out. Does the warning still come one when you turn the key to mar to do the checks? I would check the battery for correct voltage and that its holding a charge and make sure the terminals are secure and that the battery is also secure, it's possible they came loose

Thanks for reply and it does not come back on only seen it when it cut out and yes I was trying to get the heating working before it happened ( still not done but one thing at a time  )
And I was working near the battery I did have a quick look to see if anything was dislodged but couldn't see anything . Would that result it not starting . Thanks again

Will the car start again?

If one of the terminals becomes loose enough then yes it will cause the car to die on you. The Stilo requires a strong battery as it is so having loose connections will make it sketchy.

What is up with your air con? Is it not working/ blowing? You could try removing the black relay that relates to the ac which is in the engine bay fusebox, I've had problems before with starting my Stilo due to faulty relays, remove the faulty one and it starts fine. Replace it asap obviously ;) check that and see if it helps.

no it wont start :( i have take the terminals of the battery and cleaned them and put them back on and it still wont start and also checked to see if there are any other wires loose .

the heater is blowing just cold air no matter what setting i have changed the pollen filter and checked the knob and its either of them . i read somewhere here it could be a blocked in the water pipe , i tried to pump hte pipe to release any blockage but still not working . any help please

the starter motor does not make a click and it does crack over , it feels like its ran out of diesel when trying to start it ( which it aint ) the oil is high would that course the problem thanks again .

if your starter motor is not turning the engine over then the supply to it
is faulty or the solonoid on the starter motor or the starter motor itself,
start at the battery terminal fuses make sure there secure and that you
have voltage each side of the fuses, some times the get a bit of corrosion
underneath and req cleaning, then see if you can trace power lead back
from the starter motor and check connections, also check neg cable from
battery is secure to frameworkof the car, hope this helps.

hi everyone managed to get in fixed after putting it on a computer thingy in garage and it ended up been the fuel sensor .. thanks for your help
