I'm not too happy with tyre bays recently. I took my Stilo to KwikFit for an alignment check last week and was told they couldn't do it until the brake discs had been changed, which was a blatant attempt to get me to spend extra money so I took it away again.

Then today I took it to National tyres instead (they gave up due to corroded threads) but I was told by the fitter that the car has negative camber and therefore he wasn't sure he could do it. Now I don't know what camber a Stilo should normally have but am I right in thinking this should not prevent the alignment from being adjusted?

If you're having a full alignment check, then camber and caster would be checked at the same time, however camber and caster are not adjustable on the Stilo.

If you only want the front wheel toe in checked and adjusted, then camber wouldn't affect that.

It is just a toe-in adjustment that I need, so thanks for confirming what I thought. Why can't tyre bays employ people who know what they're talking about?!! Tyres, exhausts and steering are obviously all safety features so putting untrained staff in these jobs is downright dangerous and negligent in my view.
