Where would I find the Mass Air Flow Sensor on my 2002 Fiat Stilo 1.6 16V?
From what I can work out it doesn't appear to have one. I would expect it to be somewhere between the air filter and the throttle body.
The car has a sports air filter that needs replacing (its falling to pieces), and according to my stepson (who is in the 2nd year of motor vehicle course) it appears that the car has been altered and the air intake pipe cut short. Would someone have cut out the air flow sensor?
Do people do this? Does it cause any issues if they do? I would tend to think not, as the car has done 40,000 in the 2 years I've had it?
Be gentle, I know precious little about cars but am trying to learn.
