Hi my airbag warning light is coming on every time i start the engine. This stay on the whole journey. Ive had it connected to a computer by a mechanic who couldnt find the problem is there a way i can just switch this off via a fuse or wiring?
Also my rear fog lights and reverse lights not working and warnings flashing up for fogs all the time. All bulbs and fuses checked and replaced for these....any ideas??
Thanks guys

re: airbag problem, disabling the airbag would not be recommended - before digging about with connectors in the Airbag Guide though, you'd be best checking with your mechanic to confirm that they'd actually managed to connect their computer with the airbag unit and observed no errors, as opposed to just reading the engine unit (which wouldn't show airbag errors). Not all computers can do the correct diagnosis.

If the airbag unit is actually showing no errors then there is probably no point in disturbing connectors under the seats etc at this point as the problem is likely else where. I'd start by going back to the mechanic, or someone who has known diagnostic kit eg FIAT indepedent or dealer, or get your own software & cables such as MultiEcuScan

In the meantime, you can clear the display error after each start up by pressing the 'mode' button on the dashboard.

Cut the orange connecters out from under the seats then solder the wires back together. I bet your airbag problem disapears.(y) Give the terminals a clean on your lights and check the bulbs again.

Hi. I had this problem try the orange connector inside the little trap door in the top of the glove box, I just give it a wiggle when the light comes on and after a few restarts the light goes out.

HI ..had same annoying beep \ airbag warning...bought electrical contact spray in £1 shop and unplugged orange connectors under front seats \ x2 in boot pockets behind rear lights and yellow connector in trap door in glove box and never had problem since ...also , fog light warning kept coming on so just raised contact ( very carefully ) in bulb housing and problem went ,,,think bulb comes loose when you slam hatch !!! good luck.............
