Hello,

need some info about 1.6 16v hatchback rear springs.
I contacted a company that makes custom lowering springs, i wanted 70mm lowering springs for my car. (i have heigth adjustable coilovers, but rear lowers only 50mm, wanted to adjust rear for perfect look.)

And now they asked me whats currently fitted heigth of the springs. And i dont rly know what to tell. I just cant measure springs by myself.

So im wondering if u guys know, whats the length of original stilo rear springs? That might help. (50mm or 70mm lowering springs should be lower by the same amount of original springs?)
Maybe someone know whats the rear spring length on fitted car? (they must be lower on fitted car, rather than unmouted.)

Please help :)

The height of springs would change over time depending on the original manufacturer and how the car is used so I'm not sure you'll get an accurate reading that way.

If you have height adjustable coil overs then you should have adjuster cups in the rear to allow adjustments.

What coil overs do you have?

I've bought Streetline coilovers, should lower front and rear by 60mm (rear at lowest point still looks like its max 50mm drop), but i lowered front 40mm so far, and rear full amount (wanted to have front and rear at the same higth) And now i want to lower front even more, but rear doesnt look good, so i decided to order new lowering springs for the rear.

I do have adjuster cups in the rear, but even without them, the rear doesnt look good if i lower front all the way.

So i emailed http://www.coilsprings.co.uk/lowering.htm , just because i couldnt find any lowering springs for the rear that could lower more than 60mm. Now im the point that i transfered payment, and they asked me to measure my current fitted springs length. Ill try to measure it tommorow, but kinda fear that it wont be so easy.

Found info about original springs, it should be like this:
Pigtailed at Both Ends | Coil Thickness:11mm | Overall Width:119mm | Overall Height:329mm

Maybe they could work with that.

Maybe someone could provide info about rear lowering springs?
etc: 35mm drop, height? coil thickness?
