Hi All,

I have a quiry relating to my Stilo M.S

Recently I've been getting quite bad driving experiences from my car as follows:

1. Poor acceleration at low Rpm
2. Very rich exhausts
3. Sometimes torque dip
4. Generally poor driving

I immediately used my fiat ECU scan and it revealed both my Lambda sensors were not working ( Error P0139 and P0136 both came back after doing a reset, hence I believed the parts were malfunctioning) ; so as I love my car I went to replace them. The driving went back to normal, but they came back, again same errors. Took the new sensors out and checked them, both are working fine.

Any suggestions where its the problem is coming from? I am looking to replace my MAF sensor next. Any ideas or experiences from another Stilo M.S owner would be greatful.

P.S I live in the tropics.

Thank for the reply!

any baseline values for reference?

no idea, what I mean is, clean the MAf, clean the MAP, and clean/blank off the EGR, as thatll be much quicker than checking the electrical values IMO.

OHHHHHH yeah!!! now i see!!!

ok, ignore ALL I said..!!!(y)

!! oh dear..now i'm really worried.

Did a scan today and the following errors came out

P0139 - Lambda 1 signal below cata (Slow)
P0136 - Lambda 1 signal below cata
P1135 - Preheating resistance 1 above cata
P0420 - Catalytic converter

First time code P0420 has come out, doing an internet search did not look promising.

Could these be caused by other components, loose wiring or a shredded cat? I have been using RON95 or RON98 with selenia racing original oil..my cat should be enjoying himself with those luxuriant items.

Thanks for everyone's help!

Found the problem, previous owner (Moron) removed the cat..the exhaust shop did a very good job with the weld up..

So..I'm guessing there are no more Cats available for replacement? Over here finding a scrap stilo is a challenge..wondering if any forum members have links to cats..new or still working secondhands.

Worth a try ??

 WOW they're expensive! just looked for a cat for my 1.6... £308+£20 for the fitting kit!!! thats 3 times more than the cheapest one ive found at www.autobits.co.uk £108+£0.88 for the fitting kit (plus £12 for next day shipping) unfortunately autobits don't do one for the 'Shumi'

There is a company in Wolverhampton (only about 6k miles from you!?) which makes up and stocks cats. They will be cheaper than fiat oe .You might like to search for them.

Hi 850kd,

I'm not in the UK, I'm actually in the Far East.

The ebay one looks promising, I hope the ****ting wont be 10 times the selling price..
