Last night my daughter noticed that the headlights on my Multiwagon produce a much brighter and clearer beam of light compared to her new 3 door.

So I explained that I had installed better bulbs.
https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/299173-complete-set-headlight-bulbs-50-a.html

Of course she then insisted I do the same to her Stilo so I told her to order Osram H1, H7 and side light bulbs.

£120 ..

She's ordered new Osram bulbs front and rear, indicators, fogs etc., and didn't even bother searching for cheaper ebay sellers, just ordered the first ones that come up in the search. :bang:

:ROFLMAO: shadeys daughter strikes again!

ive told ya stu make her pay for it! ;) take her pocket money off her and send her to her room with no icecream!

I told her I'd pay for the new bulbs, all she had to do was use my eBay account to purchase them like I did.

Came home to find a note on the table saying ..

"Dad, I thought you said a full set would only be £50"?

I checked my ebay account and was a little shocked to find she'd brought every bulb, front and rear ...

When your daughter gets married and you "give her away", don't be fooled into thinking that someone else will be paying for her from then onwards cuz it dont happen that way ...

so the ol' "if it sounds too good to be true then it generally is" would apply here!

i laugh at you but in my heart know deep down that i will screw up better than this in years to come!!

i just dont know whats worse... watching you do it all now or knowing that i still have it all to come

My daughter will always be able to wrap me around her little finger.

She gives me the big eyes and the "but daddy, you know you love me" treatment and she gets whatever she wants, can't help myself.

However, I'm a little p*ssed off that her Stilo now has a complete set of Osram bulbs front and rear and mine doesn't ...

The main bulbs for the headlights were delivered this morning, still waiting for all the bulbs for the rear, fogs and indicator bulbs(Osram Diadem Chrome, what ever they are?).

Wow. No offence to your family at all Shadey but I mean do they think we still live in the 1800's?

If your daughter has a job then it's safe to assume she has money? Especialy cinsidering she owns a Stilo! Then she can pay to run and maintain it, if not sell it. But I don't think that's the case. If she's struggling for money then she should turn to her boyfriend or husband first then turn to you as a last resort. Even then she shouldn't go behind your back and just order a few extra bulbs because she wants to.

**** like this riles me up! Your a busy man trying to run a business and she goes and spends your £120 like it's hers to be spent. It's HER car SHE pays for it.

Rant over

I suppose I'm the "kingPin" of our family. Regardless of what the problem is I sort it. Its a roll I'm good at and if I'm honest I enjoy because I know my family is safe and well looked after.

Of course sometimes I get taken advantage of, usually by my daughter, but its nothing I can't handle so I allow it to happen.

I freely give my help to complete strangers(forum members, charities) so allowing my family to dip into my wallet every now and again is not really that bad, after all whats mine is theirs.
