Right, first off...i'm not lost - but i have ventured here from the Grande Punto section (boo hiss)

I'm here as i don't know the 'correct' section to aim this question, but seeing as what i'm after originates from the Stilo i thought it would be worth asking you lot.

I'm after a set of Claw Alloys, i'm sure everyone is familiar with them. They are IMO one of (if not the) sexiest alloy Fiat have ever made on any of their models. Now i would LOVE to fit a set of these to my Grande, but i'm aware the bore is different. Is this all i would need to change, and with that does anyone have any idea on the difficulty & cost of doing something like this?

Any assistance/advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
James

i thought the center bore was the same. 56.1mm but the stud offset is 100pcd on a grande and 98pcd on a stilo.

for this you can either...

fit wobbly bolts (not my choice)

orrrrr

get some PCD adapting spacers that bolt to your 100mm hub and have 98mm studs sticking out :). easy to do and cheapenough to buy

Wobbly bolts.....NO NO!

Ok, well google searches up to now have suggested that the center is different and requires reboring. If this is not the case then i suppose my quest for Claw Alloys have been somewhat simplified.

Are PCD Adapters easy to find, and cheap(ish) to buy. I've had a little look now and struggling to find any to convert 4x100 to 4x98. Might sound like a daft question, but can spacers be used in conjunction with adapters? Another mod i'm looking at for the moment on my GP currently is 20mm spacers on the rears. Would be pointless (a waste) of me buying these currently, if i can't use in conjunction with PCD Adapters.

i very much doubt you would be able to get adapters made due to the half a millemeter needed per bolt hole, wobbly bolts are fine, i have run them for years (since 2001 on 2 punto, a stilo and 3 mareas (all 20v) just make sure you get good bolts, also re boreing is pretty simple and most wheel places will be able to help, rochford tyres can do it, they did a set of audi a8 wheels for a punto for a mate of mine, if you want a definative answer www.dirtystancing.com will be able to help, i tried to geta set of 4x98 to 5x100 made and they said they could not do them as the pcd difference to the orginal 4x98 will not work, so am going to 5x130 (porsche) instead but then i have started thinkng about 5x108 or 5x112 (ford and merc).

good luck but wobbly bolts are the way forward on that small pcd change
